We have a duty to support and scaffold the wellbeing of our girls, for they, are the women of our future - Abby McGovern

Our Founder

The founder of Fæ, Abby McGovern, brings together a rare blend of experience across education, wellbeing, and the mind–body connection. With a BSc in Medical Anthropology at UCL, training in counselling, and four years as a yoga teacher, her work has always been guided by a deep curiosity about how young people come to understand themselves—particularly in relation to their bodies, their health, and their sense of identity.

For over a decade, she has worked in education, most recently as Director of Education at Debate Mate, where she designed and delivered hundreds of programmes that help young people find their voice, build confidence, and step into leadership. Alongside this, her work in yoga and educational psychology has shaped a grounded, compassionate approach to creating safe spaces where learning feels human, open, and empowering.

Fæ is the culmination of this journey. It was created in response to a simple but urgent truth: too many girls grow up without the language or support to understand their hormonal health, often carrying confusion or shame into adolescence. Through Fæ, she is committed to changing that—equipping girls with the knowledge, confidence, and emotional safety to understand their bodies, advocate for their wellbeing, and carry that self-trust into every part of their lives.
